Nox Falls (Seattle)

Our feature performer on Friday night, is the reigning Queen of the 2018 Oregon Burlesque Festival. Emerging from the top of Texas, Nox Falls began her burlesque career in 2012, in 2013 she founded Amarillo’s first WOC ran, intersectional burlesque troupe Galatea Burlesk-boasting variety from Drag performances to live singing and sideshow. From 2014 she begin her circuit within the main burlesque community from Dallas, Denver and Austin and finally the celebrated burlesque festivals found in almost every state.
Since then she has won several awards from her performances and competed across the country, including the honor of competing in the Best Debut category for The Burlesque Hall of Fame in 2018, along with winning the coveted ‘Queen’ title in the Oregon Burlesque festival the same year.
Since her relocation to Seattle, she has formed the all-POC ensemble “Dark Diamonds Burlesque” and was named #79 in her first appearance on the vaunted “100/50 Top Burlesque Performers “ by 21st Century Burlesque.
Dubbed ‘The Naughty Body’ for her sinful physique and raunchy candor, Nox Falls is the pocket Venus of myth. Nox Falls Website

Marinka (Las Vegas)

The Oregon Burlesque Festival is proud to announce our legend feature. Known as Marinka, Queen of the Amazons, she began her burlesque career in the early 60’s in New York City. She had the pleasure of working with and receiving guidance from the likes of Ann Corio and Libby Jones. Marinka was mentored for a short while by Rose La Rose, who gave Marinka her signature move of “love the curtains.” She worked throughout the United States in all burlesque theaters and nightclubs and internationally in South America, Middle East, Europe and Canada. In 1979, Marinka worked in Bob Fosse’s “All That Jazz”. Marinka moved to Las Vegas in 2004, and has been a member of the Burlesque Hall of Fame since its inception. She is currently working on her biography and still performs.
